After Student of the Year’s success, Siddharth Malhotra shifts to Bandra!

Siddharth Malhotra, Karan Johar’s protégé and mentee, has shot to fame with the success of his Bollywood debut, the 2012 blockbuster campus romance by the Dharma Productions chief, Student of the Yearsiddharth Malhotra (8). Starring in the lead alongside two more newcomers, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, Karan stepped in the spotlight in a glamorous way indeed.

Now, months after the release of his first big-screen appearance, the 28-year-old is bringing about changes in his lifestyle. Siddharth has moved out of his previous apartment and is now the newest resident of the star-studded suburb, Bandra. “Well, the coolest thing that I did after the release of Student of the Year was to shift to a house in Bandra. Of course this too is rented, just like my last one. Having said that, Mumbai ka rent bhi bahaut high hai; agar meri picture nahi chalti toh I would have lived in Malad or somewhere else,” said Siddharth.

An actor who has certainly worked hard to be one of India’s most sought-after newcomers, Siddharth spoke about his life in the big city in an interview previously, saying, “I had no family in Mumbai and no place to stay. It all went downhill for me and things were really bad. I had to be stay with friends and somehow make ends meet. Today things are different; at least I live in a better place.”

Siddharth Malhotra will next be seen in two upcoming movies. One of these will be Karan Johar’s Hasee Toh Phasee where Siddharth will star alongside Parineeti Chopra. The other is Ekta Kapoor’s action-thriller, The Villain, where the actor will shed his romantic image for a darker role of an angry young man!
