The actual struggle begins for actor Siddharth Malhotra

Siddharth Malhotra made his debut in Karan Johar’s fifth directorial venture, Student of the Year and quickly shot to fame. Starring in the lead with Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, the 28-year-old actor wowed crowds with his on-screen presence. Now a much sought-after B-town member, Siddharth will soon begin with his next film, titled Hasee Toh Phasee. This will be a joint production by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Anurag Kashyap’s production house, Phantom Productions.hasee

Quoting Siddharth, “Well, Anurag Kashyap had written a script. He is a cool guy. I’ve met him a couple of times and interestingly, Karan told me all about the adverts he had shot so far. Hasee Toh Phasee was an interesting read. I guess now the actual struggle begins!” The film will be directed by Vinil Mathew, an ad-film maker who has previous worked with Karan Johar on the television commercial of a popular coffee brand. Siddharth will star alongside Parineeti Chopra in this film.

“Everything is different about this film – its genre, the people I am working with, the actress, the world I’ll be living in, etc. The first film chooses you but today I am proud that I chose my second film. It’s a love story of a different kind. I won’t romance the same way, I can tell you that (laughs). We start shooting end of April,” added Siddharth.

There has been no mention of the release date of Hasee Toh Phasee. The film is expected to go on floors this April and a release date hasn’t been announced for now.
