There have been rumors however of the two falling out of their friendship, with Shah Rukh Khan playing no roles in any of Karan Johar’s recent projects. Speaking about the same, trade analyst Anuj Alankar says, “I think Karan has given a lot to the industry. He has given chance to new talent which is a great thing. Karan and SRK are not in a bond where they have to work with eachother. SRK is also doing films with different banners. More than Karan, Rohit Shetty has come as a surprise as he casted SRK in Chennai Express and not Ajay Devgn.”

Further pushing these rumors away, Karan Johar backed his good friend and supported him in a recent controversy recently by tweeting, “Ridiculous misinterpretation of @iamsrk`s` words…an extremely well written piece being subjected to political agenda…a shame!!!! (sic)” Karan has previously denied rumors of a rift in his relationship with Shah Rukh Khan and has maintained that there are no quarrels between him and the superstar.
